Many times in an election, employees do not know what benefits are being provided to them by the Company without any cost. The benefits you receive now are as follows:
1. Health Insurance – Company pays 65% of the premium;
2. Dental Insurance – Company pays roughly 95% of premium;
3. Vision Insurance - Company pays roughly 95% of premium;
4. STD/LTD Insurance - Company pays 100% of premium – covers at 70% of wage;
5. Flex Spending account – Company pays the administration fees;
6. Group Term Life 3x annual salary - Company pays 100% of premium;
7. 401k plan –100% match on first 3% of deferral, then 50% match of the next 2% of deferral. The company pays the admin fees.
8. Wellness benefits up to $200 per year.
9. Tuition Reimbursement up to $3,600 per calendar year.
10. PTO, based on years of service, most employees are getting 3+ weeks
11. Nine paid holidays per year.
12. Free Internet and Phone service if in our service area; and
13. Techs and locators get a clothing allowance up to $150 per year.
However, if the employees vote for the union at our company, the Company will bargain in good faith with the union. Negotiations could last weeks, months or years. No one knows how long negotiations will last.
During this time, the Company must maintain status quo with your wages and benefits. At the end of negotiations wages and benefits could be higher, lower or the same.
